John T. Reed is a partner with the law firm Barley Snyder. He chairs the Business Law Practice Group. John’s practice is concentrated in general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, business start-ups and formations, contract negotiation, and counseling on family-owned business issues such as succession planning and buy-sell agreements. Barley Snyder is one of the founding members and a current corporate sponsor of the S. Dale High Family Business Center at Elizabethtown College. John leads the firm’s efforts at the Center and is a frequent speaker and a regular resource for the Center. John earned his bachelor’s of science degree from Penn State University, his MBA from the University of Wyoming and his law degree from Duquesne University of Law (cum laude). Prior to joining the firm, John was a captain in the U.S. Air Force.
