Steven High is the President of High Environmental Health and Safety Consulting Ltd. The company provides assistance in identifying, evaluating and controlling safety and health exposure risks in various applications. Services range from compliance training to biological and chemical exposure assessments. Steve holds a BS in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College (’86) and an MS in Safety Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He completed a post-baccalaureate certificate in epidemiology and biostatistics through Drexel University and is currently completing his Masters in Public Health (MPH) at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. Steve is a board Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and holds the designation of Associate in Risk Management (ARM). He is an authorized-OSHA instructor-trainer and holds a number of other designations. He is a certified XL tribometrist, regularly evaluating walking surfaces, floor treatments and footwear for slip-resistance for manufacturers and facility owners as well as an expert witness. His work experience includes over twenty-five years in occupational safety. Steve has served in various positions with the Lancaster County Industrial Safety Council, including the Council’s presidency in 1990. He is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). He is a member of the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) F-13 committee on walking surfaces. Steve also participates on the Industry Advisory Council for Millersville University’s Occupational Safety & Health Management degree program and the Habitat for Humanity Safety Committee. He has served on the Governors’ Occupational Safety & Health Conference Advisory Committee and was a member of the PENNSAFE Advisory Board for the State while it was operational.
