Sean holds a BA in English Literature from Belmont Abbey College. He enjoys doing anything outdoors, a good sporting event on TV and a good book. Having a puppy Belgian Malinois that has an incredible amount of energy and “enthusiasm” is one way of keeping young but there’s nothing like having two daughters in College. Having grown up and lived in Northern Virginia his entire life, Sean is finding his way around all of the fantastic opportunities to enjoy Pennsylvania. Working in the downtown area and living close by allows him to enjoy all that York has to offer.
He began his insurance career in 1992 working in the retail insurance space for two years before joining Lighthouse Underwriters, a wholesale program specialist that was located in Annandale, Virginia. At Lighthouse, Sean managed a program for the staffing industry (temporary staffing firms, professional employer organizations and executive search firms) and also managed a lineslip with Lloyds of London for the executive liability lines of business.
After 10 years with Lighthouse, he returned to retail insurance and worked for two privately held, multi-generational agencies with a strong commitment to the local community, specializing in providing comprehensive insurance programs to the Nonprofit, Tech/Gov Con, Manufacturing, Real Estate and Construction sectors. His efforts included managing small business, personal insurance, business processes, insurance company relationships and commercial brokerage.
